Oslo-based Bonum and their data center development platform Arcem are planning to build a data center on Husnes, having secured control of over 60,000 sqm of land in the Grøn Næringspark. The facility is designed for traditional data storage with AI capability, with a total planned capacity of 90 MW and a first phase of up to 40 MW already approved by grid owner BKK. Operations are estimated to begin around 2031–2032, and the project could generate between 40 and 200 jobs.
